Astrometeorological predictions for the period 6 to 14 January 2025:
Seismic activity possible in Micronesia. Heavy rains could also take place, especially around Pohnpei.
Heavy rains possible in Solomon Islands. Parts of New Caledonia may also see some of that.
Victoria and New South Wales as well as Tasmania could see strong precipitation. The area around Melbourne as well as the island of Tasmania look particularly vulnerable on the charts.
The western half of South Australia could see copious precipitation.
Strong rains in most of New Guinea and the Bismarck Sea as well as the neighbouring areas of Queensland.
Rains in the Arafura Sea area.
A strong earthquake possible in the Philippines.
A strong earthquake also possible in the Okinawa region and/or in Taiwan.
Southeastern Chinese coastline or the South China Sea may see a storm or heavy rainfall.
Higher than usual temperatures possible in Cambodia and several parts of Thailand.
Earthquake possible in the region of Eastern Tibet-Bhutan-northeast India-Myanmar.
Parts of Western India may see spells of strong rain. (Note that this is a dry season for this area.) Some possibility of earthquake also exists.
Rain or snowfall possible in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region as well as neighbouring areas of Afghanistan, including the capital Kabul.
A cold snap in the Iran-Balochistan border area.
Mauritius may see very heavy rain.
Northern and eastern Madagascar may receive copious rain.
The Gulf of Aden area and the Horn of Africa may receive a spell of strong rain. The nearby Mayotte, again, could receive some strong rains.
The coastline of Congo-Angola could receive heavy rainfall.
Strong precipitation in Azerbaijan and surrounding regions of northern Iran.
Heavy snowfall possible in western Kazakhstan and nearby Astrakhan and Saratov regions.
Tatarstan may receive strong snowfall.
A snap of cold is possible in southeastern Europe.
Southeastern France may experience higher than normal temperatures.
Seismic activity to be high in the western half of Iceland. Strong snowfall also possible in the region.
An earthquake possible in Greenland. Strong snowfall possible in southern and western Greenland.
Copious rainfall possible in eastern Brazil, especially in Ceará.
The Midwest region in the U.S. may see strong winter storms and/or high winds. The Iowa-Illinois-Missouri region and neighbouring Ontario look particularly affected.
Southeastern U.S. may experience very high winds and a storm.
Strong precipitation or quite severe cold weather in several parts of Western U.S. and in British Columbia.
Heavy precipitation possible in the area from Prince Rupert till Seattle. Very heavy snowfall possible in the Tsʼilʔos Provincial Park.
The Kodiak Archipelago may see strong winds and lower than usual temperatures.
The area around Unalaska-Unimak islands may see a strong earthquake.
